Are you going through a difficult time?

Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation who receive special training to provide one-to-one Christian care to people in our congregation and community who are experiencing grief, loneliness, divorce, hospitalization, disability, job loss, and many other life difficulties. They listen, care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support. The care you will receive is confidential, free, and very helpful.

Stephen Ministers meet privately with one care receiver of the same gender. They are trained and supervised lay volunteers, not professional counselors or therapists, pastors, or physicians.

Stephen Ministers are Christians who care in the name of Christ. They are willing to talk about spiritual issues but won't force them.

Stephen Ministers care by listening, supporting and encouraging, praying, being dependable and trustworthy, and maintaining confidentiality in their care giving.

If you or someone you know would benefit by having a Stephen Minister, or for information on becoming one, please contact Janice Blaine (641-6829) or Don Hill (735-7225).
