There are many ways for children to join in on Sunday mornings at First United Methodist of Clearwater!

Sunday School

Children ages 3 (and potty-trained) through 5th grade, are invited to join us each week for Sunday School. They will be dismissed from the 9:45 Contemporary service during the offering song and will return to the Fellowship Hall following the service.

April is a great month to join us for Sunday School! This month we will be focusing on Humility - Putting others first by giving up what you think you deserve.  We will be learning the following verse from Phillipians 2:3 "Don't do anything only to get ahead. Don't do it because you are proud. Instead, be free of pride. Think of others as better than yourselves." Join us!

April 6 - Jesus washes the Disciples' Feet (John 13:1-17)

April 13 - Jesus is Arrested and Heals the Servants Ear (John 18:1-11) *Palm Sunday, join us to wave palm branches!

April 20 - Jesus is Crucified, Buried and Resurrected (John 18:12-20:23) *Easter Sunday!

April 27 - Jesus Restores Peter (John 21: 1-19)

For the month of April the Basic Truth  for Preschool and Kindergarten children is Jesus wants to be my friend forever. We will be reviewing the bottom line that Jesus is my good friend. Our memory verse comes from Proverbs 17:17 "A friend loves at all times."

April 6 - Jesus visits Mary and Martha (Luke 10:38-42)

April 13 - The people praise Jesus as He enters Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1-16) * Palm Sunday - Join us to wave palm branches

April 20 - Jesus has a last meal with his closest friends (Matthew 26:20-30; 28:1-17) * Easter Sunday

April 27 - Jesus leaves to go prepare a way for us (John 14:1-4)

Children’s Church

Sunday morning worship is a special time to share with children. At First United Methodist Church of Clearwater we encourage children to join their families in the worship services.

During the 11:00 Traditional service, children are invited to request a notebook from the ushers. It contains prayers, coloring sheets and other activities for children to do during the worship service. Children ages 4 and under are always welcome in the nursery.
